31 Fourwells Drive, S12 4JB

We have 62 very large bedrooms, all en-suite with showers. We encourage people to personise them, with pictures, ornaments, even a display cabinet or small sofa.

Our corridors are wide and spacious and there are lots of communal spaces thoughout the home, it’s decorated to a high standard, we’re always looking at what we can do next.

Our dining areas all have a personal touch, using ideas from staff and residents. We’ve got a bar which is used regularly, people sit and have a drink, plays and games, have a singalong. Relatives can book the bar to come and have lunch with a relative in private, celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, have a get together.

The newest addition is the games room, we’ve got a high spec interactive games table, or someone can sit and play board games or have a quiet time reading.

Our tea room is lovely, we organise monthly afternoon tea events, or relatives can book it out for parties and celebrations

We’ve got a large established  garden, with lots of places to sit,  some covered, and we’ve got our own cocktail bar. We hold themed summer events and parties for residents, families and the community. We’ve got a garden party, Alice in Wonderland event, country and western event and cocktail party all planned.

We link to our local community, that could be a dementia cafe, local church, schools, friendship groups, remembrance café, salvation army – we might go out to them or they might come in to the home. We link with Community centre next door, we have our annual Christmas party there and if they’ve got events on they invite us.

We have music to movement to twice a week, we have visits from miniature ponies, exotic animals and singers, as well as trips out to Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Clumber Park, Rother Valley, Cleethorpes, Lady Bower, or out for fish and chips or to the pub.

We’ve got our own hair and beauty salon, where you can get your nails or hair done. We have a hairdresser who comes in once a week and we’re getting a barber.

We’ve got a jacuzzi style bath if someone would like some calming time to themselves.

We have a GP surgery here every week, our doctor is great and very involved with the home. We organise chiropody, dentist appointment and a we have a  good district nursing team.

The food here is exceptional, it’s home made by our wonderful kitchen staff, there’s always home baked treats and residents are involved throughout the menu choices, testing new ideas and suggestions. Fish and chips is a favourites along with Karen’s pies and ginger biscuits. The team make homemade soups and proper home made milkshakes if people need building up.

People have freedom to wander around, we’ve even got a couple who found love here. People can go out, on their own or with their families, whatever is right for them.

People come here sometimes for a short stay : maybe their flat’s being done up, family are going away, or if they want to try and see what a care home is like. People often want to come back, they feel at home here. People can have a paper delivered. People can get up and go to bed when they want, come and go when they want, have a meal when they want to, not at set times. People can eat in in their room or in the dining rooms which we’ve just upgraded.

We’ve got a good reputation with district nurses, social services, GPs and families. We’re proud of the staff team that all work together, they have a passion for care and just want to make sure that everyone is happy and well cared for.

The weekly fee for Cotleigh Residential Home is £930.
