THE annual report for our organisation Sheffcare has highlighted the excellent levels of care being offered in all areas of our services. In addition to our residential services – including some of the region’s most outstanding facilities for people living with dementia – we also operate a Home Care service, offering people support in their own homes.

All our services have received excellent Care Quality Commission reviews over the past 12 months, while user surveys have shown almost 100 per cent satisfaction with levels of service. “This year has been excellent for Sheffcare,” said Chief Executive Belinda Black.

“Everyone has worked extremely hard to deliver outstanding care services, which once again has been recognised by our residents, their families and CQC. “When I read each inspection report I am so proud to see every criteria with a bright green tick against it, knowing the commitment and dedication every member of our team has put into achieving this.”

The past 12 months have seen us increase our dementia services to meet rising demand, including investing half a million pounds in an extension at Grange Crescent Residential Home.

We also continues to partner very effectively with professionals in the care services field, including the University of Sheffield, to develop new services, with the aim of being a centre of excellence.

“Our overarching determination is to remain viable and sustainable, to enable us to provide outstanding and valued care services for years to come,” said Ms Black. “It continues to be a delight for me to support and observe the skills and abilities of our team of caring, dedicated staff, who share with me the reward of satisfaction which comes through offering both practical support and human compassion to those who need it most.”
